How will the eMR improve care team coordination and communications?
- Handover efficiencies, can be done anywhere in the department
- Can see at a glance what is happening in the department by using the whiteboard
- Better communications with the rest of the hospital, bed managers and NUM’s about what is happening to potential inpatients
How will the eMR improve safety?
- Results are not missing
- Better identification of the right patient and where they are
- Know what has been ordered, reduced duplication of orders to pathology and radiology
- Improved access to clinical alerts and allergy information when the patient presents to the department
